This is the first of 23 benches, dedicated to those who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
High Street Improvements
Further greening and better benches on our High Street. The section outside Poundland will have new planting and bike racks.
Villas Road Playground
During lockdown, the council decided to rejuvenate Villas Road Playground on the Glyndon Estate, which opened on the 9th July 2020

You said, we did! 🌲Thank you to everyone who raised their concerns about the poor condition of trees on Plumstead common.
Fresh, new trees have been planted just in time for spring.😍🍃
White Hart Road
White Hart Road - the Council has put in rain gardens and planting to soak up surface water and clean the air. This is part of regenerating our High Street and linking it to new business and housing via the Ridgeway
Plumstead Gardens £1 Million Parks Investment
The following works at the Plumstead Gardens have now been completed:
• Repair and redecoration of the boundary gates and railings
• Repair to the wall at the Church Manorway end of the park
• Removal of the derelict cricket net frames
• Replacement of the former broken York stone paths with a bound gravel path
• Flood alleviation works
Better Housing
Better Housing - The council has approved plans for good quality housing including affordable housing in Lakedale Road. After local councillors’ intervention the development will also see the removal of one of Plumstead’s betting shops.
